  • Eat multiple types of vegetables and fruit. Each different type gives you different nutrients. A good rule of thumb it vary your colors of fruit and vegetables. If you eat green for lunch, maybe eat red for dinner.
  • Eat more whole grains. Make sure when you’re choosing your fiber foods, like bread, that you get foods with whole grains. Whole grain food contains higher amounts of fiber and less harmful carbs.
  • Cut out soft drinks, they do nothing but harm you. Soda is loaded with unhealthy amounts of sugar and calories. These drinks provide you with little to no nutritional value.
  • Eat leaner meats. Look at choosing white meats, like chicken or fish, for at least one meal a day. Red meat is notorious for being high in harmful saturated fat.
